Wednesday 10 March 2010 at 7.30pm in the Merimbula Auditorium

Members are invited to an information night to be held on 10 March 2010 at Club Sapphire Merimbula.

At this meeting the Board and Management will outline the background and reasons for the Board’s recent decision to investigate the practicalities of de-amalgamating MIBC Ltd into two separate clubs (MIBC and TBCC).

Members will be given an opportunity to ask questions regarding this matter.

All members, whether sporting or social, are strongly encouraged to attend this most important information night.

At the Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday 10 February 2010:

1. Directors unanimously agreed that the de-amalgamation of MIBC Ltd into two separate clubs (MIBC and TBCC) would be more beneficial to all members.  The practicalities associated with such decision will be investigated as soon as possible so that a recommendation can be made to a meeting of members.
2. Resolved to change the mid year General Meeting to 6.30pm on Monday 19 April 2010.
3. Resolved to approve the new design and the installation of shade structure on northern external wall of Merimbula club house to provide shade and reduce heat and reflection to southern end of Green no 1 and the Auditorium ($20,000).  A DA will be lodged immediately.
4. Resolved to approve the donation of proceeds from MIBC Business House Triples “sin tin” to Rural fire Service.
5. Resolved to approve the donation of proceeds from TBLGC “three put tin” to Breast Cancer Education Unit.
6. Resolved to approve the donation of company share of green fees from TBMGC Charity Day to the approved charity.
7. Resolved to approve the purchase of entertainment box office ticketing system for Merimbula ($5,000).
8. Resolved to approve Merimbula Indoor Carpet Bowls Club request to waive $10 membership fee for remainder of financial year.
9. Resolved to approve the continuation of the 10% members discount on food and beverage purchases until 30 June 2010 and to discontinue the sale of discounted drink tickets during this period.
10. Resolved to approve donations to 2010 Merimbula Jazz Festival, Aleyathiah’s Fundraising, and the Men of League Charity.
11. Resolved to approve complimentary round of golf being provided to visiting Golf Club Captains.
12. Resolved to approve 159 new or transferring memberships comprising:
    • Country Golf: 6
    • Golf: 7
    • Bowls Merimbula:1
    • Bowls Tura: 3
    • Tura Bowls/Golf: 2
    • Gym Junior: 1
    • Golf Junior: 2
    • Cadet Golf 1
    • Social: 136

The next monthly Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday 10 March at 3.30pm.
