INFORMATION FROM THE BOARD

At the Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday 28 January 2009 it was resolved to:

1. Conduct a week of promotions to celebrate the opening of Club Sapphire Merimbula renovations commencing with a members’ dinner and official opening on Sunday night 8 March 2009.
2. Repaint the new seats on the Merimbula No 1. Green, white.
3. Not introduce a fee for roll ups
4. Display the name Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Clubs in large letters on the northern side of the Merimbula venue.
5. Obtain a valuation of 17 Berrambool Drive, including rental valuation.
6. Appoint a consultant to advise on council planning matters relating to traffic and development impacts on the club’s properties in Main Street.
7. Set tentative date for the mid year general meeting as Sunday 10 May 2009 and AGM Sunday 25 October 2009.
8. To introduce a manual version of “Clubcash” from 1 March 2009 to implement retention of expenditure from bowls, golf, and bingo prize vouchers in the club venues.
9. Direct Management to prepare a further cost cutting paper for the finance committee’s consideration.
10. Approve a membership reciprocal rights application from Orange Ex-Services’ Country Golf Club with Tura.
11. Have the Treasurer attend Liaison Committee Meetings at both venues to update on current financial performance.
12. For Company to retain all proceeds from recent green fee increases at Tura to assist in offsetting losses of the venue.
13. Approve 185 new or transferring memberships comprising:
    • Golf: 7
    • Country Golf 4
    • Junior Golf 2
    • MIBC Bowls 3
    • Gym Junior 2
    • Staff 3
    • Social: 99
    • Holiday (one month) 65

The next monthly Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday 25 February 2009 at 3.00pm.
