Summary of Board Meeting 20 October 2010

At the Board of Directors meeting held on 20 October 2010 it was resolved to:

  1. Advertise for the position of Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Club Bowls Co-Coordinator as soon as possible.
  2. Approve the recommendation of the Sports Media Committee to allow FSCDGA members to participate in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Golf Competitions at Tura for the standard comp fee of $10 with no green fees payable.
  3. Approve the recommendation of the Sports Media Committee to introduce a $3 fee for Roll Ups for non-members at Merimbula venue.
  4. Discontinue the 10% member's discount at the Tura venue from 1 November 2010 and in its place introduce a new "points earned" system whereby members earn 5 points for every dollar spent at the bar which can then be redeemed at the bar for future purchases.  Prize vouchers may also be deposited onto card and used for future purchases.  Current 10% discount will continue to apply at Merimbula venue.
  5. Responsibility for Tura venue advertising to be taken on by a new committee of Directors R. Thompson, P. Weire and K. Cox.
  6. Cease payment of umpire fees at Merimbula venue from 1 December 2010.
  7. Approve the Tournament Committee's recommendation to cancel the Melbourne Cup Weekend Triples for this year and future years.
  8. Approve donations to; Special Events Committee, FSC Soccer U13s Rep side, Pambula A.H. & P. Society, and Sapphire Coast Tourism/Mambo Classic
  9. Approve 170 new and transferring memberships comprising:
    • Social and Staff Members: 155
    • MIBC Bowls: 3
    • Golf: 1
    • Country Golf: 3
    • Gym Junior: 2
    • Junior Tennis: 5
    • Cadet Golf: 1

The next monthly Board Meeting will be held on Wednesday 10 November 2010
