IT Sub-committee Minutes 22 October 2010

In attendance:  Mike Channon, John Miller, Bernie Russell, Kevin Nowland

There was lengthy discussion of the Information Technology Audit at Tura Beach Country Club document as prepared by Bob Ward.

It was agreed:

  • should de-amalgamation proceed, we need to determine the minimum hardware and software requirements to ensure that the new club is a viable entity.
  • we need to decide on a desired h/ware and s/ware configuration for the new club that meets the short to medium term needs while minimising changes.
  • balance was needed between maximising the use of existing h/ware and s/ware and avoiding the need to make h/ware and s/ware changes soon after de-amalgamation.
  • to facilitate the above, Mike Channon to arrange for the IT Sub-Committee to meet with Bob and Christine Ward to discuss the Audit document in more detail.
  • we should run the changed system (preferably) 3 months prior to de-amalgamation.
  • the sub-committee expressed its thanks to Bob Ward for his work in providing us with the audit as requested.
