The De-amagalamation Steering Committee will hold an information night at Club Sapphire Tura in the Banksia Room from 5:00pm until 6:00pm on Wednesday 16 March.

Current Club Sapphire members and prospective members of the new Tura Beach Country Club are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The topics to be covered are expected to be as follows:

1.  Introduction of members of the Steering Committee

2.  Supreme Court Decision

• General Meeting to be held 1 May 2011.

3.  Tasks completed by the Steering Committee

• Financial Viability Report;
• Assessment and Report on Capital Equipment;
• Community Survey;
• Course and Greens Assessment and Report;
• Review and Assessment of Contracts;
• Information Technology Report;
• Clubhouse Assessment and Report;
• Meeting with Andrew Constance; and
• Liaising and Negotiating with BVSC.

4.  Tasks in progress

• Constitution;
• Business Plan;
• Liaising and Negotiating with BVSC;
• Meeting with Andrew Constance;
• MIBC preparing legals for easement on 1442 to gain access to 1441; and
  
• Appointment of Steering Committee's independent solicitor.

5.  Tasks to be Commenced depending on result of Supreme Court Application (not in any order)

• Membership Applications;
• Nominations for Directors and office bearers;
• Convene a General Meeting of members to approve the constitution, application for incorporation and application for a liquor licence;
• Company Formation and Company Name;
• Strategic Planning to include: Business Plan and Marketing Plan;
• Community Impact Statement for OLGR;
• Application to OLGR for Liquor Licence;
• Application to Casino Authority for transfer of Poker Machines;
• Decision on acceptance of Contracts;
• Draft contract(s) between the Club and new company for the transfer of assets, contracts etc to be entered into between the two companies;
• Land issues: Club and new club to liaise with Council regarding transfer of lease; and
• Appointment of TBCC's Auditor, Banker
